Workshop truck PM-3 (PARM type A) in 1/72 scale
Name | Workshop PM-3 (PARM type A), cat. number 72204 |
Manufacturer | ACE Model, Ukraine |
Packing | Carton box with colour box-art. By the way, it depicts the real situation from June 1944 (see „Kamuflyaz tankov Krasnoy Armii“ from Armada, page 22). |
Type of the kit | Injected kit, with a small PE set |
Quality | The kit contains more than 80 plastic parts. More than 50 of them are dark green and are based on the former Komintern/MGD/Fort Gaz-AA kit. It means they are very nice and quite easy to assemble. If I have good information, the Gaz kit has some minor shape imperfections (I haven’t built it yet, just “second-hand” info), but nothing important. The rest of parts are designed for the workshop superstructure, they are white and typical ACE quality. The plastic is soft, with some flash and sink holes. The PE parts are designed only for the truck, the workshop is only in plastic. The cab windows are made from clear foil, the workshop windows are made from clear plastic (well, not so clear...). |
Instructions | Very well designed, easy to understand |
Decals | Yes, for one Red Army vehicle |
Note & overall impresion | In my opinion this is a very nice kit, which will look great either as standard display model, or, after necessary improvements, as a contest model. But I can’t help myself, I must complain. With the design of the workshop superstructure it is impossible without some surgery to build it with open sidewall, as displayed for example on the box-art. But I personally will do anything to show the interior and I see it…. The PARM boys are working on damaged Stormovik…hmmmmmm…….. |
