German tank hunter
7.5cm PaK40/1 Sd.Kfz.135 Lorraine ”Marder I” in 1/72 scale
I have also found one reference photo of the
vehicle said to be destroyed in Tunisia in one of French ”Horse Series”
books. The rest two variants of ”Marder I” are vehicles based on captured
Hotchkiss H-39 and FCM 36.

Quality
All casting are very well
cast as usually in kit by this renowned producer. You have to
clean only few sprue marks and little resin film from some
parts. The hull of the vehicle is cast in one piece. The
fighting compartment has to be completed out of four parts.
The tracked chassis is cast in two pieces only because tracks
and wheels are moulded together. The PAK 40 gut has only few
parts but they are very well detailed as well as all parts
mentioned above.

General Impression
& Note
I guess you will get very nice model of one of
three variants of German WW2 tank hunter ”Marder I” after completion of this
kit. Cpt. Becker’s Parisian ”Baukommando” completed about 170 of this
self-propelled guns designate ”7.5cm PaK40/1 auf Geschutzwagen Lorraine
Schlepper(f)” since 1942 till 1944. First vehicles got in action on Easter
front and than most of them fought on Western front.
