Russian 122 mm howitzer M-30 with crew in 1/72 scale
About figures and
accessories can say that they are not so nice as I expected.
All sprue is copy of toy soldiers set that was born evidently
converted from ESCI figures somewhere in Russia few years This
is the reason for it’s poor quality. The poses of figures
are relatively realistic. Problem is too much flash to clean
of each figure or ammo. I guess it will take lot of work
because of problematic material used for casting. It seems to
me that M-30 assembly will be much easier than get it’s crew
in order!J Nearly 20.000 pieces of this gun were produced since 1938 till 1955. Many of
them serve in various world places till now.

Quality
You will find one sprue with
howitzer parts and one ”star” sprue with crew figures and
ammo. The sprue is probably common also for 152 mm howitzer
D-1 because it include gun barrel with lock also for this gun.
All parts of M-30 are moulded and cast well without any
problematic defect. It will be necessary to clean of only
sprue marks and deviding flash on some parts as well as using
putty to cover few extractor marks before assembly. Will be
also necessary. I guess all parts can be used without problem.
More accurate modellers will probably prefer to make new gun
shield of plastic or metal sheet and its braces of wire
because original parts are not thin enough for 1/72 scale.

General Impression
& Note
You should get very nice model of famous
Russian 122 mm /152 mm/ howitzer completed with crew. According my opinion
it’s ideal combination for diorama.
