& Note

A.P. Models is a firm based in Tuscany, Italy, and they carefully studied various kinds of old Tuscanian farmhouses to produce a representative façade useful for diorama settings.

The result is excellent because based upon first-hand references and high quality components.

The main body is in plaster while minor details (doors, main entrance, frames of the windows, even the tiles of the roof), are made in resin or photo-etched parts.

Instructions (in Italian only) suggest to paint all the pieces before building the whole façade and to follow the numbered stages. A color picture (slightly too bright perhaps) in the box-art serves as a guide for the painting. Basically the façade has to be painted in (plastered) white, the tiles red brick, the doors dark green or brown, the shutters in pale grey or brown etc.

All in all an extremely useful accessory for a diorama set in Tuscany in the summer of 1944 during the German retreat or the Allied advance.
