Name | Jumbo Sherman (Item No. TL 020) |
Producer | Fine Scale Factory, Germany |
Packing | Carton box with color picture of completed kit on the top |
Type of kit | Resin kit |
Quality | All parts of the kit are very well cast with little fine simply removable flash on small and fine parts only. Some parts include bigger sprue but it shouldn’t be problem to remove it. The hull is cast with possibility to open hatches but the hull is unfortunately cast as ”full” piece with closed hatches. The tracks are cast in strips have to be shaped with help of hot water before placing on the chassis. The ”duckbills” extended end connectors are very nice detail on the tracks! |
Instruction sheet | simple graphic instruction sheet |
Decals | no |
General Impression | This kit is very nice and it should be very simple and quick to complete nice model out of this kit according my opinion. |
Note |
Only 200 tanks in this special up-armored were
produced during second half of WW2. Armored divisions of US and French army used
them on Western front in 1944-45.
The Jumbos of Patton’s 3rd army replaced low effective 75 mm gun with little better gun 76 mm. So you can simply to convert the kit to this rare ”field” modification. |
