Pz.Kpfw.
IV Ausf. D - 1/72
Kit parts are
divided into seven frames made from relatively hard plastic. One PE fret and
rubber tracks and towing ropes are also included. Kit parts itself are quite
nice, unfortunately, I found some small sink marks and molding of some
smaller parts is unfinished - for example antenna base and pins for rear
idlers. It's a pity since this kit isn't cheap. There are some ejector pins
marks, but mostly on inner sides and almost no flash.
Very nice is possibility to open side turret hatches, engine covers and
gearbox covers.
Tracks are
weakest point of this kit. Their assembly will be very difficult, because
they don't have any classic connection points. Their end links are supposed
to be simply glued together. Maybe it will be possible toreplace them, for
example by Revell tracks.
Positive in
this kit are photoetched parts. They could replace fender's ends and some
other details.
