"Memories"

Scale:  1/72

If you feel you want a rest from Olive Drab, Dunkelgelb and Panzergrau, try a small exercise on a civilian topic. I used a model of a village church by an English company Dapol in a railway scale 00 (approx. 1/76), four gravestones from a sorta bizarre model of a cemetery by Mouse Models in 1/87, a statuette of Jesus Christ from a pendant inherited from my Grandma and a figure of a young woman from the set of modern civilians in 1/72 by Preiser. The grass carpet is by Busch, a trunk and branches of a bush by the entrance is from an "Islanmoss" (Italian product), the tree, all foliage and moss in gutters is by Woodland Scenics. All brush-painted by enamels (Humbrol, Revell, Agama), wash by oils Mánes and dilluted mix of black and brown China ink, final coat of the road was made from cigarette ashes, dabbed into a wet layer of a hair-spray (thanks for undestanding to my wife Magda!)...
