Light fortification type 37 A in
1/72 scale
kit by Interwing
Czechoslovak army, September 1938
Practically all Czechs know many similar empty fortifications that are
still surviving in our border region. If I’m right there were more
9.000 of them there in September 1938 and just types 37 were most of
them.
The kit box included the terrain
cast of gypsum and the fortification itself, some interior parts and
accessories cast of resin. The building of this model was relatively
simple. I just had to modify the gypsum terrain to get better palace to
fit resin fortification on. The grass on the fortification roof was the
problem for me only because this fortification is my first model in
diorama style. I have to point out that this model is not finished yet
because I have to repair some damaged places and also plan to complete
it with camouflage net and in future. I used the distemper to paint
grass. The tree is taken from such railway accessories.
