Pz.Kpfw 38(t) Ausf.G mit AP-1
Manufacture: Attack, 1/72 The AP-1 float was an interesting attempt of German army to make a special construction for overcoming the rivers. Prague company BMM manufactured it for the light tank PzKpfw 38 (t) Ausf G. Attack offers it as an accessory for its kits. I didn’t modify this float after removing it from the pad. The cast was clear and without any bubbles. The other parts were “hidden” in resin foil, but were a good quality. I just added some details from wire, especially the wires leading to the blasts, which separated the float after getting off the water and let the tank to get off and fight. The building of tank was without problems except the one with the tracks. I had to replace the fenders 0,5mm higher to get the tracks on their place. I also thined the front armor on the turret, addaed some details and model was done. The connection of tank and float was without problems, but I helped it with steel wire, because the float is quite heavy. The camo is standard Panzer Grau, shaded with oil paints. Model is placed somewhere by the training pool, as shown on photos. |
