Churchill Mk.III

Manufacture: Esci, 1/72

I built this model in the time when I was starting building the small scale AFV. It was built quite well and I didn‘t want to turf it out, so I took it out of the waste-bin and unpainted it in the lye. Some parts fell away during this procedure, but tank was glued well and stayed. Some details like grab handles were made from wire and glued on their places. After study of photos I added some equipment – helmets, tilt, bags and spare track links. I sprayed the winter camo over the basic green, left 10 minutes to dry and then brushed with the teeth-brush. Then I shaded the tank with oil paints and the job was done. Even though it was almost “dead” model, it became a nice model after the re-paint and it was prized at the UK championship.
