Model kit used: My own resin cast

Another version on the chassis of Ausf. J is a reconnaissance tank for artillery PzBeobWg III equipped with radio stations and with an aiming periscope. Real tanks of this type were based on conversions of older types and in total, there were about 260 units built on various models of the chassis. Mainly the units of the self-propelled artillery used them. I adapted the gun mantled according to the drawings and photographs and installed a MG port in it. Next to it, a dummy gun is placed to give an impression of a real armed tank from a distance. I attached small details – antennae, tent packs and pioneer tools – on the model. The camouflage is from the Eastern front from summer 1943 and it comes from the unit  “Grossdeutschland“. The tank is in overall sand colour with air-sprayed spots of green. Model is shaded by oils and dry-brushed on edges and flat areas.
