by ESCI VW Kûbelwagen - 1/72 scale kit by Airfix These models represent starting of Tiger II engine during German winter offensive in Ardennes. The model of Tiger II is built practically straight out of the kit box. I only completed this kit with complete interior, engine, gearbox, seats, radio, ammo, and other details. I added zimmerit made of two-part putty on the armor surface, engine grilles. The model VW Kûbelwagen is heavily modified Airfix kit. I have completed it with new doors and cowling scratchbuilt of aluminum sheet. I reduced mudguards, scratcbuilt new board and seats. I have completed kit with scratchbuilt engine and fuel tank. The tarp is made of paper. The starting device and shafts are is completely scratchbuilt according to reference documentation. It took me about 100 hours to complete these models. |
