The FAUN ZRS is my first model built out of kit box by Planet models. The style of this kit is similar to older kits by Extratechu. It’s interesting that I have found out that this kit as well as the kit of classic wheeled version is are available in about three different castings versions.

The construction of the kit was relatively simple. The problematic are front fenders that are not deep enough to place the rail wheels in. I suppose that master for this kit was born as younger brother of classic wheeled FAUN and nobody expected that rail wheels are too big. It took me lot of work to detail front bumper that is originally too simplified. I added also klaxon on the cab roof as well as another fine details according to reference photos.

The painting is done according Reichsbahn style.
