Willys Jeep in 1/72 scale
Czechoslovak Armored Brigade, France,
September 1944
The model is built in camouflage and marking
according to article published in HPM 4/2000 magazine. This famous car served
in all allied countries and army units so it is common that served also in our
Czechoslovak Armored Brigade. This model is relatively new because I built it
in march 2001. I decided to purchase the kit box including ”Jeep, Kubel and
Ketten” by Accademy instead of only ”Jeep” kit by Hasegawa but I’m not
sure if it was good idea. I do not know Hasegawa’s ”Jeep” but Academy’s
one seems to me be not good kit. I do hope that the rest two kits will be
better. My jeep was built without any bigger modification only machinegun is
left out. I used paints by Agama, Humbrol and Revell to airbrush and paint this
model. Used decals are included in decal set by VVV model. I tried to make also
some patina on this model but the reference photos of real car are too poor to
pattern well.
