Bergepanther + Jagdpanzer IV in 1/72 scale
Used kits: Panther Ausf. D, Revell, 1/72 scale The model of the Bergepanther is conversion of Revell mentioned above. I removed the turret and scratchbuilt new ”wooden” bodywork on its place. The other parts differnt form the parts of standard tank are also scratchbuilt (the drums, the crane, new exhausts, the tools, wooden beam as well as the big share on the back of the vehicle). The interior of crew chamber is open so I had to scratchbuilt it also. It includes the gearbox, the seats, the steering, the torsion-bar springs as well as many other details. The model represents the vehicle with ”zimmerit” coating so I created it with help of two-part putty and watch screwdriver. This model of the wrecking vehicle is camouflaged according to ”In Action” publication and represents machine used by unknown unit in France in 1944. It took me about 70 hours to complete this model. The model of Jagdpanzer IV is built out of ESCI kit with only few modifications on the vehicle exterior (the periscopes, the side sheets (schürzen), the fenders made of aluminum sheet atc.) The model also represents the vehicle with ”zimmeriot” coating served in France in 1944. It took me about 25 hours to finish this model. |
