PzKpfw.IV “Ostwind”

I have started to build this kit before the kits as Hasegawa and Revell
came with their Pz. IVs (apart from Ostwind). The base for my model is
the Airfix’s kit PzKpfw.IV ausf.F. The Ostwind has used later types of
this tank as base, so I used some parts
from Matchbox’s kit Jagdpanzer IV (dive gears, tracks). I also
modified the hull to get the version ausf J .The model includes interior
and engine unite unfortunately difficult to see over the big
ventilators. All interior and also turret with the gun are scratchbuilt
of plastic sheets. I use Humbrol 94 color for airbrushing to realize the tank of 2. SS div. ”Das Reich” used during Ardennes offensive. There wasn’t any marking used on this tank. I finished all with dry pastel and added the tools and other equipment on the hull. Václav Hochmuth Appeal! |
