Shorland in 1/72 scale
I’m not 100% sure but the kit should
represent the most known version Mark 3. Shortlands haven’t served in UK Army
and Police units only. The price of the vehicle was relatively low therefore
many of them were exported! Some modelling references are available at http://www.shorland.simonides.org
.

Resin kit +
etched parts + wire
Quality
All resin parts are well cast
with no any bubbles and only little fine flesh on few parts.
The only one problem you will have to solve during assembly of
this kit is how remove sprues because some of them are really
massive. The body of the vehicle is unusually cast in two
parts divided vertically. These ones as well as the turret is
cast as full piece without chance to open doors or hatch
unfortunately. Etched set is also nice, especially radiator
and lights grilles. It includes also two license numbers. Only
mirrors /both variants Army & Police/ seems to me too
two-dimensional. Fine wires to create back holders and
antennae are very good idea!

General Impression
& Note
The first look in the box is very good. I
suppose that the assembly of the kit after removing all sprues will be quick
without many complications and I’m sure that completed kit will be good model
of Shorland armoured car based on Land Rover chassis produced by Shorts in
Belfast in 70’s.
