Panzer II Ausf. L ”Luchs” 1/72
Name |
Sd.Kfz.123 Luchs – Early Version (Item No.
A7203) Sd.Kfz.123 Luchs – Late Version - 5.P.D. (Tem No. A7204) |
Producer | Kora Models, Czech Republic |
Packing | Carton box with color picture on the top |
Type of kit | Resin kit + photo-etched brass parts |
Quality | All resin parts are well cast with no any bubbles or other problematic defects. You will find little flash and the rest of fine resin film on smaller parts of course but it’s not something serious. Bigger problem that can make trouble to modelers with less experience is removing of relatively massive casting sprue included on each part. Hull part as well as turret part is cast in one full piece with closed hatches so it’s impossible to place crew figures in. The kit includes very nice photo-etched brass sheet with parts necessary for exterior detailing. |
Instruction sheet | Graphic assembly instructions with Czech/English/German instructions how to work with the resin kits and one camouflage schema for Early Version and two schemas for Late Version. |
Decals | very good decals for three vehicles of Early Version and five of Late version |
General Impression & Note |
The first look in the boxes is very good. I
suppose that the assembly of both kits will be quick without many complications
and I’m sure that completed kits will be good models of both versions of
German light reconnaissance tank used during late period of WW2.
The Late version is distinguish form Early one thanks to up-armored front part of the hull, missing boxes on the turret sides and bigger rear turret hatch. Germans produced about 130 these tanks within 1943/44. |
