Sherman M4A3E2 Jumbo in 1/72 scale
Plastic kit of
assault version of a well-known U.S. tank.
The other of
Sherman family was made again by “kitbashing” of universal frames of
undercarriage and hull etc. of A3 version with a new frame containing
special parts of Jumbo version (turret and additional armour). Quality of
parts is OK; kit has some small shape inaccuracy, but in fact it is a true
copy of Jumbo. However the kit has one fundamental fault – almost all
Jumbo’s were equipped with “duckbills” – tracks extensions, but kit
contains only standard tracks. It’s necessary to make these parts yourself
(with a lot of patience) or to buy new cast tracks of a correct type.
