Tetrarch Light Tank Mk. VII
in 1/72 scale Extratech
Name | Tetrarch Light Tank Mk. VII (Item No. EXM 7210) |
Producer | Extratech, Czech Republic |
Packing | Carton box with b/w picture on the top and color camouflage on the side |
Type of kit | resin kit with + photo etched brass parts |
Quality | The all resin parts of the kit are very well cast. The hull and turret are cast as one piece. The hull seems to me little crooked unfortunately. Petr Falta who already built this kit has confirmed that the hull of his hit was also crooked so the mould is likely to be wrong. The driver and turret hatches don’t offer possibility to be open. The small parts and tracks are made of photo etched brass. |
Instruction sheet | Czech/English historical and technical description of the vehicle and graphic instruction sheet. |
Decals | for two camouflages (the emblem of 6th airborne div. is not correct unfortunately) |
General Impression | I think you can build nice model using this kit. Especially photo etched tracks could look great. |
Note | The British 6th Airborne Division used
Tetrarchs during Normandy Invasion, these tanks also fight against the Vichistic French during invasion on Madagascar and are said be used also in North Africa, but I have never seen any photo confirming this information. A few pieces of this tank were delivered to Soviet Union as part of Lend & Lease. |
