IPMS Open is the largest competition in Sweden. This year 120 modelers entered 454 models and there were also traders present.  One special competition was held. An 1/144 airplane should be built and painted in one hour, and then it would be launched in an catapult to examine which flew best. The competition was a bit chaotic. One model was disqualified by a judge with a hammer. It had fingerprints on the canopy and bad paintwork. Another judge stepped on one plane when a contestant protested about a verdict. The points for the building were on a scale from one to five. Still one plane got minus two. You can tell this was very serious. But we had fun.
